Evaluation

A large showroom / eval center is located at the front of our facility. In it you will find equipment for all ages and sizes of infants, children, teens, and adults from many different manufacturers. This equipment can be used to evaluate clients throughout our coverage area and is a great asset to assure the best outcome of the evaluation.
Our specialists are trained in developing the most appropriate seating and positioning systems and are knowledgeable of the wheelchairs most suitable to accommodate each client.
Our "team" approach means we work closely with the client, family, caregiver, physician, and therapist to effectively evaluate our client's needs and provide appropriate equipment.
Custom Mobility has 7 Certified Rehab Technology Suppliers (CRTSs). Being a CRTS means that they have passed the Assistive Technology Exam given through Rehab Engineer Society of North America (RESNA) and are a good standing member of the National Registry of Rehab Technology Suppliers (NRRTS). NRRTS mandates that all CRTSs follow a code of ethics and requires continuous education.

Technology and Progress

Custom Mobility strives to bring our customers the very best rehab technologies available. We are continually looking into ways to better improve our processes. Our IT department has designed a rehab program exclusively for us. This program allows our certified seating specialist to complete the evaluation on a computer and send it to our office in a matter of minutes. Cutting down the time between the date of initial call and the date of delivery is our biggest priority. Below is a brief list of what can take place in the process:

  •   Referral is made to Custom Mobility
  •   Appointment is scheduled
  •   Goals are identified and information is gathered, evaluation and measurements are taken, equipment options are discussed
  •   Prescription/medical documents requested
  •   Manufacturer's quote obtained for accurate pricing
  •   Prior approval paperwork compiled
  •   Prior apporval requested
  •   Prior approval received
  •   Receipt of customer deposit (if applicable)
  •   In some cases an additional visit with the rehab specialist
  •   Equipment ordered

  •   Delivery scheduled
    (with therapist if needed)
  •   Delivery to client
