At Custom Mobility, we do much more than repair wheelchairs or accessible vehicles: we help make dreams happen. David and Shelby came to us about the accessibility of their wedding. Specifically, they wanted us to create a way that they could share their first dance as any other couple: lovingly embracing one another. Since they are both wheelchair users, this required a bit of planning. With a little help from our Custom Mobility team and their physical therapist, Dr. Gina Arlington, our fabricator Mo Kessing created a custom seating system that allowed Shelby to snuggle up to her new hubby. This seating system let the couple hold each other in a way that they normally can’t, which made the whole thing that much more special.
